MCN donates education resources to developing nations

MCN's aid to developing nations focuses on education in 2008

Denver, Colorado, January 29, 2008. MCN continued its tradition of providing healthcare aid to developing nations with a new focus for 2008: education.

MCN's president, Amanda Valeur, recently traveled to the Indian subcontinent and saw firsthand the conditions that healthcare workers face every day. "These care givers are selfless in a very challenging environment. In making free education available to them, our goal is to aid them in improving their own working conditions and the care of their patients."

MCN's aid focus for 2008 is a natural choice, given MCN's rise over the past three years to become one of the leading providers of educational software and training materials to the U.S. Healthcare industry.

This year, MCN sent more than 1,300 video-based learning courses to healthcare facilities and providers within developing areas. The courses covered practical topics such as Infection Control, Medication Management, Nursing Leadership, Patient Safety and General Employee Safety. Through organizations such as Project Cure, Oxfam and Doctors Without Borders, MCN has donated more than half a million dollars of resources toward healthcare and other programs in developing nations within the past 14 months.
