CMS Issues Final 2013 Inpatient Payment Rule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a display copy of the 2013 Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS), the final rule that updates fiscal year 2013 Medicare payment policies and rates for inpatient stays at general acute care and long-term care hospitals (LTCHs). The final rule will appear in the August 31, 2012 Federal Register, and will take effect October 1, 2012.
