CDC Adult Fall Prevention Resources Available

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in recognition of National Fall Prevention Awareness Day on September 22, 2012, has several resources available to educate older adults about reducing their risk of falling.  According to the CDC, each year, one in every three adults age 65 and older falls. Falls can cause moderate to severe injuries, such as hip fractures and head traumas, and can increase the risk of early death. Fortunately, falls are a public health problem that is largely preventable.
