OIG 2013 Work Plan for Hospitals

The Office of Inspector General released its 2013 Work Plan last week; today's notice is a summary of the new or high-interest areas of focus for Medicare Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals.
The 2013 Work Plan outlines compliance and enforcement projects and priorities OIG intends to pursue in the coming year. The 2013 Work Plan contains an increase in the number of new projects related to hospitals; compliance departments should review the work plan to develop better understanding of areas of focus for 2013.
